How much will it cost to purchase an Internet name? Can I purchase it from you?
  • The cost of an Internet name (domain name) is about (determined by the registrar) $10 per name, per year and is purchased from a third party service.
    • You might want to purchase additional names that are similar to yours, so that when people search for your business, they would find it even with a different spelling, e.g., joesrestaurant.com or joe’srestaurant.com. The same reasoning applies for different domain endings, e.g., anyrestaurant.com or anyrestaurant.net.
  • We charge a one-time fee per domain name to register and set up your domain, and to provide the necessary instructions to direct searchers to your page on RestaurantReservations.com. Prices can be found on our Optional Services Menu.
    • Also included in this charge is searching to determine if your businesses name is available for use as a domain name. If it is not, we will make some suggestions, and you will be able to select the one you want (subject to continued availability).

I have an Internet name (Domain Name), how would I point it to my Restaurant Reservations Profile?
  • If you have your own domain name or are planning to purchase one you can point it to any website or page on another website of your choice. With RestaurantReservations.com you can point a domain name here no matter what your membership level is.
  • Since the process varies depending on the Domain Registrar, we would recommend you contact them on how to “forward” your domain to a site on the internet. Do I need a computer to use your service?

  • We will need you to provide photos, menus, and other relevant information in a digital format (via e-mail, CD.
  • We can also contact your graphics designer, printer, etc to get the materials needed on your behalf.
  • We can also copy photos and menus from your website (if they are formatted properly) to create your profile. To use some of the more advanced features a computer is required. To make an update you don’t have to own a computer, as an optional service, you can e-mail, call, or fax us your update requests.
  • You do not need a computer to accept reservations, but a fax machine with a dedicated phone line is required.

I am not technology savvy. How will I be able to use your program?
  • There is no special hardware or software needed. Using our services is as easy as visiting a website. After you become a participating restaurant, you can go to www.RestaurantReservations.com, sign-on with your user id and password, and use all the features that are available right at your fingertips.

Do you have a table management system, and how does it work?
  • Our Premium Membership includes a table management system. Simply go to our “Reservations Hours” Section and then add the number of seats and tables you have allotted for online reservations.
  • Our system will manage these allotted tables/seats for you.
    • When a diner makes a reservation, our system checks your allotted seating and table availability.
    • If sufficient seats/tables are available, our system instantly and automatically acknowledges the reservation via email to the diner.
    • If sufficient seats/tables are not available, the system notifies the diner that they are not available, and suggests that they try a different date, time, or party size, or that they call the restaurant directly.
    • The system automatically sends the reservation to your restaurant via an email, fax, or both.
    • You can view and enter your reservations online via our Reservation Management Page.
    • The system automatically updates your table/seating plan to reflect said reservations.
    • With Premium Membership, your establishment will have the ability to add phone and faxed reservations to the online reservation system.

Will I be able to restrict or exclude reservations for holidays, special events, closures, etc?
